Foreclosure Data Disputed
The Center for Statistical Research Inc. released a research report disputing the findings of another report from the Center for Responsible Lending. The consumer group claims subprime lending expanded at the benefit of mortgage insiders and has stirred more trouble than help for borrowers. But Tcsr does not hold the subprime market responsible for foreclosures and is concerned that legislation brought on by the crisis view could further curtail subprime credit availability.
